Saints Days
In association with teaandcrumpets.co.uk
OK, every now and then we have a twistedmindz gathering, where Andy, Phil and Gaz from teaandcrumpets.co.uk invite other people to meet up with them. Whereupon they do silly silly things, drink lots of alcohol, and then do more silly silly things. These gatherings are named after certain made up Saints. Each "Saints Day" has a certain amount of traditions which must be upheld. But enough of this rambling... See us being silly for yourself!
St Neville's Day: 1st July 2006 : 03 July 2006 Patron Saint of: People called Gary and Phil
It is traditional on St Neville's Day to wear pink and have lots of pink around you in general. Also on this day, people should only be referred to as either Gary, or Phil. The only exception to this rule is the eldest member of your group, who shall be known as Neville Neville. Incorrect name callery shall be penalised (hehehe, penal). The wearing of name badges is permitted. On this day, the spread of Garys and Phils should be even to allow for Gary Vs Phil games to be played. Clicky clicky clicky
St Noris's Day: 28th May 2006 : 19 June 2006 Patron Saint of: Patronising and Lucky Dips
There are several traditions that purists will follow on this sacred day, such as Silly Dances, Bonfires, Oversized Medallions, and of course, Patronising people and partaking in a lucky dip. Clicky clicky clicky
St Nigel's Day: 30th April 2006 : 19 June 2006 Patron Saint of: Drunken Telephone Conversations and Messages. Staplers.
It is traditional on St Nigel's Day, to dress in orange, drink lots and leave drunken phone messages. It has become a custom, in the last few years, to phone and order pizza. There is no particular drink that is favoured on St Nigel's Day, despite it being common knowledge that Nigel himself favoured Cider. The purists tend to take this in to account and drink the zider, but it is by no means compulsory.
Another thing that has become tradition over the years, is the act of having a barbeque on this feast day. Clicky clicky clicky
