Cheeses
Cheeses are what Christmas is all about. Cheeses were first made on the first Christmas day, over 2000 years ago by three wise men. These wise men originally called the cheeses Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, but these were later changed to Cheddar, Red Leicester and Brie.
Stable
The state the cheeses were in when they had finished being churned.
Star
For some reason a load of famous people like Michael Jackson, Al Pacino and Terry Wogan turned up for the first cheese tasting.
Turkey
A country where everyone turns in to a cannibal for the day in order to perform the Christmas tradition of stuffing and then eating a Turk.
Presents
Things given each year to celebrate that the wise men gave us their cheeses as a present and didn’t hog them all themselves like I would have done.
Christmas Tree
In the 15th Century, Cheese trees became extinct so we had to turn to something close, people tried to use Oak trees, but it never caught on.
Bells
Used at Christmas to honour Babybell, the little round cheese.
Shepherds/sheep
A Welsh tradition involving stuffing an animal of a different kind.
And Lastly
Those little sausages wrapped in Bacon. Surely the best foodstuff ever!
